Three pictures were needed to see all of the sides of this impressive tufa cast bracelet created by a Hopi Silversmith of the next generation, Jerolyn Honwytewa. Jerolyn took classes from her father, Gerald Lomaventema, where she learned this technique (and so much more). Tufa is a volcanic, porous and finely textured stone. The artist carves the design into a stone mold and pours the molten silver into it. The designs on this piece include flowers and clouds, with a centerpiece of Royston turquoise. The bracelet measures 1 inch wide and a total of 6 3/4 inches
around the inside, which includes the 1 inch opening. Jerolyn's hallmark, a Cornstalk, is stamped on the inside.
NOTE: Pictures often appear larger than actual size to show the details and fine craftsmanship!
